Dr wants to lower t3

I just got a call that I should lower my t3 to 10

My results are tsh 0.066 range 0.350-4.940

T3 3.2 range 2.2-4.0

T4 1.1 range 0.7-1.5

I was taking 15 t3 when these tests were done and 112 of tirosint I raised my t3 to 17.5 after these results but still don’t feel right

I’m not sure what to do but lowering to 10 doesn’t seem right to me any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Your FT3 was 55.56% through range with those results, absolutely no need to reduce your dose of T3. Was it because of your suppressed TSH?

If you stay on 17.5mcg T3 then I'd retest 6-8 weeks after you increased.

When on combination hormone replacement, we're all different as to where we need our FT4. Some are fine with it lowish in range, some of us need it higher in range, so it's up to us to tweak our doses and find out for ourselves which is the optimal dose of each hormone for us to feel well. I can't tell you if your FT4 is high enough, only you will know that.

Presumably, with Addison’s disease you are under the care of an endocrinologist

GP should not meddle with dose

Essential to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 too

Thyroid test results

Was test done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test and last 1/3rd of daily dose of T3 between 8-12 hours before test?

As Seasidesusie says ...ft3 only 55% through range and Ft4 is only 50% through range

Doesn’t suggest over medication

TSH is almost always suppressed on any dose of T3

Yes I did do them at those times I don’t think she’s right either she also had me lower my cortisone to 27.5 instead of 30 because my acth was at 0

How do you feel on this dose? When taking T3 the TSH gets lowered; TSH is not a diagnostic.

Still tired it’s very frustrating trying to find the right dose

I know. I’m on T3 only and have THR, but then I don’t see a GP and self-medicate. (My GP told me to carry on.)
