Not sure this is a thyroid problem. But have had bad IBS and steatorrhoea. After being robbed off for two years a locum lady doctor was helpful and I had a stool test. After three weeks it is still not back and when I rang surgery they said sometimes it can take 6 weeks. Just wondering why it is taking so long. Could it be because of Covid and hospital is overrun.

Depending which test some do take a long time.
It was calprotectin test.
My recent calprotectin took 4 weeks.
Does that mean there is a problem if it takes longer or is that normal procedure.
Results can take a few weeks, doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem, mine came back showing moderate inflammation but I've had ulcerative colitis for years so no surprise.
If your results are still not back ask the surgery to call the lab to find out why there's a hold up.
Google Water Kefir, take it, and you won't believe the improvement.
