Metavive vs Thyroid S
I am taking metavive 1 and 11. Metavive one was 15mg now changed to 40mg because RNA was added but I think still only 15mg of thyroid glandular. Metavive 11 was 30mg thyroid glandular but with addition of RNA now 80mg. So I take 45mg a day. When the capsules were first changed I felt unwell but once I adjusted to them I am now fine. It took a couple of weeks to adjust to the new addition of RNA. RNA is Natural and required by all cells of your body. I think they have to do this because it is sold as a supplement and not be prescription. Hope this helps x
Hi. I’ve just ordered metavive 11 but it’s 80mg. I’m scared to take it because I don’t know the side effects etc. Can’t take levo. Have you experienced any?
The brand is svenska from a health online uk store.
Appreciate any advice ☺️
Thanks. How much NDT were you taking previously? I'm trying to find a correlation between NDT dosage and Metavive dosage.
I was taking 180 of thyroid s spread out through the day..to make it last longer i have been taking one thyroid s in the morning and replacing the other two doses with metavive 11.
Blood test shows t3 only slightly reduced,t4 still low and tsh has risen from .2 to 1.5....feel ok but think the metavive 11 is not quite as strong as thyroid s..
Thanks. Sounds like a starting point. I get a feeling from a what I've read so far that it might take 2 Metavive II capsules per 1 grain NDT.
I thought metavive I was equivalent to 1/4 grain of thyroid hormone (? NDT?) & metavive Pro is equivalent to 1 grain.
I’ve not tried metavive II?
Does that help?
Does anyone know how much T4 & T3 is in metavive ?
Thanks
