Is there any truth in that you are more at risk of getting covid19 if you have Rhesus negative blood?.

Does anyone have any information on this.

I have read somewhere that blood group A isn't great re covid - but not anything about rhesus factors. I'm A neg - so looks like I'm stuffed either way if these stories are true. But I it's very very rare for me to get colds and flu, so I'm hoping it won't matter .... x

Thank you for your reply. Sounds like you are lucky not to get colds and flu. I was constantly ill before I was diagnosed with autoimmune

PA. Once I started on B12. I did not get so ill with colds and flu. But just occasionally I did get a bad flu virus. And with me they last for months. I am rhesus AB negative. So perhaps that is the reason I get so ill. But gp's don't seem to know that.

It's not true about A. I am also A negative and I hardly had any symptoms when me and my husband had covid. He has a 'good' blood type, though, according to the same theory, and he was more ill. I think blood type A is just a lot more common, hence the flawed statistics. Do not worry.
