Can you take Metavive & T3 together?

The problem with taking Metavive is that the thyroid hormone content is uncertain and may well change between batches. Therefore, if taking it with T3, you don't know exactly how much hormone you are taking overall. There are some possible advantages if you can control your dosage overall. The Metavive being porcine thyroid freeze-dried, will contain some T4 and T3 bound onto a protein called thyroglobulin, from which they are split off when reaching the bloodstream. Stomach enzymes mimic this if taking by mouth. If you are taking T3 and something else like Metavive, I'd be happier taking Natural desiccated thyroid instead because the thyroid hormone content is controlled there and shown on the product information. You then know exactly how much hormone you are taking and the amounts of T4 and T3.
