Fairly recent blood test after 7 weeks on reduced Levo from 75mcg to 50 mcg and also taking 5mcg T3 twice daily. Not feeling good, losing hair, no energy, etc. Am going to try and discuss with Endocrinologist but whether anyone can interpret results could be helpful: 19/08/20 TSH 0.01 mu/l (range 0.35 - 5.00) Free T4 12.1 pmol/L (range 9.0 - 21.0) Free T3 4.8 pmol/L (range 3.0 - 6.0)
It's the TSH that's concerning him, but previous blood test 5/3/20: TSH - 0.01 Free T4 14.9 Free T3 5.0 (same ranges as above, so no increase in the TSH. I'm 75 yrs. so don't think he'll increase T3 - probably just tell me to add in the 25 mcg Levo. that I reduced. I was wondering about adrenal health and used Raglan's test with BP sitting then standing up. Mine was 125/57 sitting then 101/57 standing, and according to Dr Barry Durrant-Peatfield's book, if the BP falls instead of increasing this is a sign of adrenal weakness. Have also lost 1½ stone weight and feel like I'm running out of gas! Recently had medicheck test for B12 active 97.1 pmol/L (R. 37.5 - 187.5) and Vit D. 155pmol/L (Range 50 - 175) - been supplementing these with magnesium for quite some time. Would appreciate any observations before trying to get another telephone appointment. Many thanks.

Both these companies test both cortisol plus DHEA. Testing DHEA as well as cortisol helps with determining stages of adrenal fatigue.
It's the TSH that's concerning him,
If he's prescribing T3 then he really ought to know that taking T3 tends to lower, even suppress TSH, so your TSH level should be no surprise.
5/3/20:
TSH - 0.01 (range 0.35 - 5.00)
Free T4 14.9 (range 9.0 - 21.0)= 49.17% through range
Free T3 5.0 (range 3.0 - 6.0) = 66.67% through range

19/08/20:
TSH 0.01 mu/l (range 0.35 - 5.00)
Free T4 12.1 pmol/L (range 9.0 - 21.0) = 25.83% through range
Free T3 4.8 pmol/L (range 3.0 - 6.0) = 60% through range
There was no need to reduce your Levo when your FT4 was only 49.17% through range, and we can see what an effect this has had as it's now only 25.83% through range. No wonder you are experiencing those symptoms.
You need your dose put back to what it was, see if you can get your levels back to where they were and take it from there.
Did you feel well when you were on 75mcg Levo with 10mcg T3? If so hopefully you can get back to that. If you were still symptomatic with those levels then fine tuning doses would be needed, maybe a touch more Levo or a touch more T3 but don't change both at once.
Thanks so much. I shall look at the adrenal testing. I was still symptomatic on the original levo, but that got worse on reduction. I shall get the adrenal testing done, as my understanding is that this would impact on any medication we take, if not functioning sufficiently.
