I appreciate any help to know whether my levels are ok for a female, 65 yr old.

Ferritin 56 (15-150)

Iron Bind Cap TIBC 290 (250-450)

UIBC 207 ( 118-369)

Iron 83 (27-139)

Iron Saturation 29 (15-55)

Optimal results :

Ferritin : 50% of the way through the range = approx 80 - 85. Your level is pretty good assuming that you aren't supplementing, but it could be a little bit better.

Iron binding capacity is quite low, suggesting you aren't short of iron.

Iron needs to be 55% - 70% of the way through the range = 88 - 105 Lower end of that for women, higher end for men. Your level is really not far off optimal.

Iron saturation is a bit low but not dramatically so.

Your iron and ferritin are pretty good. Any improvements required are minor and I wouldn't suggest you supplement. You could quickly end up with your levels being too high and that should be avoided.

Your best bet is to try improving and maintaining your iron with food. For more info on that, see this link :
