Did take aspirin but gastroscopy sees little sore patches and dr says its gastritis due to prescription aspirin. I also have underactive/overactive hashis and Type 1 diabetes.

Hashis often have low stomach acid which causes the same symptoms as too much stomach acid.
Many take diluted cider apple vinegar as it helps.
Thanks and yes I have a bottle.
Low stomach acid can be a common hypothyroid issue

Search 'thyrogastric'. There is an association between autoimmune thyroid disorders and autoimmune gastritis.
Hi, thanks.
This is a bit neither here nor there, but I've been surprised at the evidence - however anecdotal - that somehow, stomach afflictions, low vit D, and autoimmune disease correlate. I have yet to encounter someone with an autoimmune disorder who did not have GERD, or IBS, or both, or some other sort of gut issue, and who did not test low on vit D before the autoimmune disorder dx. Me- I had H. pylori, a resultant nice little antral gastritis, GERD and IBS piled on, kept testing low on vit D, then boom, Graves. Read some studies re H pylori and molecular mimicry, and blew my mind thinking that it was likely that bacterium that started the whole domino effect toward Graves.
