How long before a blood test should I stop taking NDT?

How long before a blood test should I stop taking NDT? I usually take 1 grain of NDT at night and 1 grain at around 5/6pm. Could you also please advise when should I stop taking biotin before a blood test? Many thanks.

Last dose of NDT should be 8-12 hours before blood draw, adjust timing the day before if necessary.

Biotin supplement, stand alone or in a B complex, should be stopped for 7 days before any blood test.

It shouldn't be if it was a low dose biotin, such as that which is included in a B Complex, eg 400mcg.

If it was a high dose biotin supplement, eg hair and nail supplement, which often has 5mg or 10mg, then leaving 7 days is probably more appropriate.

I think it is safer to stop taking biotin before the blood test.

Do u fast before the test?

How long before the test do u take the med, all factors need to be taken to consideration.
