I had a blood test at 8am but stupidly took my first dose of NDT at 5am. Does anyone know how much my results would be ‘inflated’ because of taking my morning dose?

Taking NDT before blood test
From my own experience taking T3 + T4 (and I´d imagine that affects labs the same way NDT does), only the FT3 would be affected. Depending on your dose, your FT3 can come back either at the top of range or slightly above.

Your FT3 will be higher than normal and possibly your FT4 as well, but it's the FT3 that is the important result so it depends whose benefit this test is for. If it's just for yourself then you will know your FT3 is falsely high, if your doctor has ordered this test depending on how high your FT3 is he may want to reduce your dose, in which case I'd retest leaving the advised time gap before accepting a reduction.
Thanks. They didn’t even test the FT3 this time! 🙄
So for someone on NDT the test has been a waste of time 🙄
If your NDT is prescribed one would hope the prescribing doctor actually knows a little about it and how to interpret blood tests whilst taking it. I've got to the point where nothing suprises me any more with doctors.
