Wellman Ultra Vit Blood Test

A quick question...

My husband has purchased a Wellman Ultra Vit Blood Test from Medichecks, which tests liver health, diabetes and cholesterol , thyroid, testosterone and various vitamins for energy and wellbeing...

And I'm wondering if it should be taken after fasting?!

Medichecks website says it just has to be in the morning and the nurse at the GP surgery didn't think it needed to be...but at the same time I know it's recommended on here for our thyroid tests to be done fasting so I'm thinking perhaps this should be too??

Any advice gratefully received!!

Yes, it must be done fasting. It includes an iron panel and when iron is tested we should fast for 12 hours and have water only to drink.

It never ceases to amaze me that health professionals seem to have no knowledge of what tests should be done fasting.

It includes diabetes testing too, which is also listed on the link you shared as fasting too!

No point paying £100+ for a private blood test and then the results not being accurate is there?! 🙄
