So your FT4 is 108% through range and FT3 is 41%. That tells you that something isn’t quite right. I’d cut back on the Levo, get your Vits and minerals optimal and see where your FT3 is after that. At the moment your FT3 is much too low and it may turn out that your not a good convertor and will need to add in some T3 but get all your ducks in a row before you go down that route. HTH
That makes it a bit clearer I think I m not converting but because my TSH is suppresses the DR s are not interested in whether I m converting or not .
I am only on 100 of thyroxine which is low as I don t have a thyroid
Think I will drop to 75 for 5 days and 100 for 2days see if that makes a difference .One of my big problems is I suffer from anxiety which doesn’t t help
A lot of people without a thyroid need T3 as well as T4 to feel well. Have you asked about T3? Just to add my T4 is 22 and my TSH is 0.38 and my GP isn't interested because I am not taking any medication. Having said that I feel well so having high T4 must suit me. Also have a look at Elaine Moore's site she has some good information on there.
If GP sees /accepts the latest Medichecks results, you can expect strong insistence on a reduction in Levo, due to the now over range FT4 on top of already 'surprised!' TSH (actually , it probably WAS surprised by the removal of your thyroid )
Some folk feel ok with over range T4 in order to get enough T3, but some feel bad. Being extremely anxious could be a sign of too much T4, so it is possible reducing Levo slightly ,maybe by 12.5mcg may improve thing's. But it almost certainly wont improve your T3, looking at your previous test.
You could agree to try a slightly lower dose on a trial basis.
Or You could refuse to accept a reduced dose because your FT3 is not even at the top of range so therefore you are not thyrotoxic.
I reduced last year under similar circumstances. From 112 down to 100 , Gp reluctantly let me go back up to 112 again as it made me feel worse. He's written that i understand the risk's on my notes.
I’m afraid I m having same problem with GP wanting to drop my dose because my THS is suppressed but this is first time my T4 has gone over range so know they will insist this time.
I saw an endocrinologist lat year who wanted me to drop because my TSH was suppressed had usual spiel about getting AF etc I had to say I understood risks
I just feel so fed up with it all never felt well since my thyroid was removed .
Wish i had a solution for you.... last year i WAS really anxious about anything and everything, but i was also active and managing relatively well as long as i paced myself.
Now i'm not at all anxious, but i spend much more time on the sofa.
I decided i want to try less T4 and a bit of T3............. and then along came a global pandemic....... so now i'm reduced to managing smaller changes like trying to decide whether to have a whole tin of beans or half a tin of beans for tea. again
