Has anyone with under active thyroid tried Ashwaganda I have read some articles which say it helps. I already take Levo 125mcg and supplement with good quality magnesium, selenium, tyrosine.

Ashwaganda has anyone who’s hypo tried this ?
I am not sure about using ashwandgha for hypothyrodism. As far as I know, it´s an adaptogen used for adrenal fatigue, and it is also included in some supplements for high blood sugar. Not sure about how it affects the thyroid, though.
Why are you considering adding ashawandha?

Just be aware, that it is an adatogenic herb often used in adrenal supplements. Although it is meant to be "balancing" it is know that it can lower cortisol, so caution is advised.
The problem with ashwagandha in my experience is that it´s included both in supplements said to lower cortisol and in supplements for adrenal fatigue...some claim it can do both, depending on the body´s needs, but I am not sure as other adaptogens seem to be used for either high or low cortisol, not both.
Have you had full thyroid and vitamin testing since last dose increase 4 months ago
Are you making sure to always get same brand of levothyroxine at each prescription

Are you supplementing vitamin D?
Hi Yellow1955 -
before I was diagnosed/treated I tried Ashwaghanda for extremely low cortisol levels, but it made me feel (even) worse. Now, with a comprehensive supplement, diet and T3 program in place both my husband (also hypo) and I take a small amount morning/evening and it seems to help with sleep as well as stress response.
