Help, not sure what's going on with anxiety

I'm going to try to sum this up.

I'm trying to figure out where to go from here.

Previously, I was on NP thyroid and low dose Naltrexone. Did not have many problems with anxiety or depression. I had moments but no big deal. I did gain 25 pounds in the last few months on it.

Anyways, after that, went to an endocrinologist and she immediately took me off both and put me on tirosint and liothyronine. At first I felt amazing and then the panic attacks and anxiety set in. Overall sense of Doom and unwellness. (Yes my iron levels are good as well as my B vitamins) I've had all of that tested recently and that's a good to go.

Went back to my old doctor and she put me on naturethroid. I've been told since I was without the liothyronine (I stopped taking it due to the anxiety.. It dropped my free T3) I was told I may experience that little bit of anxiety when the T3 hit my body because I was without it.

I'm only taking half a pill in the morning right now (65mg pill) . I'm also getting anxiety at night.

Anyways, I'm still struggling with anxiety and I'm wondering if it's because I'm hypothyroid right now until my medication starts to work? Should I titrate more slowly or any insights as someone has, I would appreciate it. Adding last labs before naturethroid. This is my fourth day.

Changes often don’t happen quickly, you need to be patient but keep asking questions as you progress.

Anxiety is the pits, I had it for years. I did all the usual gentle walk, yoga, breathing exercises etc The panic attacks were severe so really inconvenient. My endo put me on t3 only, that highlighted seriously low cortisol, my body felt like a tuning fork humming all the time, jittery and anxious. I tried all the usual herbs and keeping stress to a minimum, i keep all B vits high, take magnesium daily but when it gets to much i take 2mg diazepam which is the only thing that actually calms the anxiety.

Over the years i have got much better but anything stressful affects me and im back to square one. I havent found the cure so management of stress, eating right, resting and good sleep. I also had to step away from negative friends who drained me. My anxiety was deff thyroid related as until it was removed i never experienced anxiety and had a stressful job.

I am sure once you get settled on your optimal dose it will get better, it certainly seems connected to change of meds, i would want to go back to what i felt better on, i think its odd to change what works. It is also worth asking your dr to do early morning cortisol test.

Thank you for your story. The thing is. If I don't take t3 I don't get it. It never used to be that way. I don't know what's going on. I read people with hashis can start to react to fillers. Naturethroid made me dizzy yesterday and I didn't take it today. I've got an idea of what needs to happen after lots of reading. I have read about cortisol. I also thought it was maybe perimenopause. But why does it not bother me unless I take the meds? That's the kicker.

My experience has all been trial and error. If it makes you ill no point taking it. I did well on NDT originally I thought that was it back to full health, 3 months later I was back to square one. Levo made me really ill, levo and t3 combo ill again, so Endo said it must be the t4 element making me ill. I am much better on t3 but still crash regularly, I am no where near back to how I was before thyroid removed. I was lucky enough to try all the t3 tiromel cynomel LA pharma Mercury pharma, cynomel best for me. I have to be very careful I don't over do anything or I am in bed for days feeling ill. If I don't sleep well I am ill. I am 10 years since TT and tbh I still don't get it right or the goal posts change. I am sick to death of it but have to keep banging my head on the wall. I do have great days but not enough. I can't just eat what I want, got out late nights, go anywhere unless I know where the toilet is, it's a drag. Some people get back to full strength I am not one of them ❤️ it's the old keep all 10 plates spinning, drop one they all fall.

May I ask if you're in the US or UK? My daughter's doctor is considering prescribing LDN in addition to her Tyrosint and Cytomel for hypothyroid, but we haven't where to source it? Our Walgreens can get the huge 50 mg doses, but not the LDN.

Hi, I'm in the United States. I get my low dose Naltrexone through a compounding pharmacy. Are you guys able to do that? If not, I think you can still get it mailed over to you.

Thank you, that's what I was wondering, if it needed a compounding pharmacy. Good luck to you in figuring out your doses.
