Check your diet thoroughly for potential allergies, especially with regard to foods that you may not be able to digest thoroughly without a gall bladder. Keep a good diary of you need to so that you can spot potential triggers.

Hi Dottie, yes I suffer with hives and my first attack was in 2004 and it was really bad. They eventually diagnosed me with ultecaria. I’ve had severe attacks at times and was put on Telfast for many years to help prevent them from coming back. I still get them years on . I stoped the telfast meds as a pharmacist asked me why was I in such a high dose which was 2 (180 ) a day. He then told me that they can cause memory loss if on for a long while at such a high dose. But to be fair the consultants said I needed it as one 180 a day wasn’t working for me so I did need the 2 a day. Now I only take 1 piriteze before bed and it works . Diagnosed with under active thyroid 2 years ago . Hope this helps .

Yes I did. it turned out that I have histamine issues and I was on Tirosint-Sol. The glycerol in Tirosint-Sol is a Histamine liberator and causes bad hives and rashes. I now follow a low histamine diet low oxalates diet and went back onto Synthroid. Histamine triggers Mast cell activation.

Message me if you want to have food list and medications that can be of help to ensure that you are not using meds that liberate histamine and mast cell activation.

I do. It started 10 years ago before my Hashimoto's was diagnosed. Then 5 years later and went away when put on levothyroxine. It came back in Jan this year. I have had a horrendous year and stress may be the trigger. I'm also normally off gluten and had a few gluten "accidents". It is now getting better. I take Xyzall x2 , high doses of vit D, fish oil, echinacea 15 drops x2, and homeopathic histaminum 9ch, arsenicum album 9ch, urtica urens 6ch. And again on a strict non gluten diet and pay attention to high histamine foods (trying not to have them all at once). The urticaria diminished by 80% within 10 days when I started that. Also I was on Telfast in the beginning and I think it made it worse. Different things work for different people. I have researched quite a bit before finding something that seems to help. Also I use Laroche Posay Lipikar AP+ soap and balm. Hope this helps!
