Are hives also associated with non hashi’s thyroid? Have hives been associated with naturethroid?

Are you sure you don't have Hashimoto's
Hi Jeast,
I developed hives last year whilst taking W.P. Thyroid.
My antibodies are in range, so Doctor says I do not have hashi's. but as they are very near top of the range (some say the range is too wide) so I could be consider to have hashi's
I have read the hives/urticaria can be an autoimmune illness so if one has one autoimmune illness you can be prone to get another.
Do you have your antibodies level?
Thanks for the info. I don’t have our numbers but they were under range. Both my daughter and I have been getting hives, but autoimmune issues could very well play a role. I have psoriasis and she has rosacea. She just got a referral for allergy testing after spending the weekend in the cardiac ward after having a near heart attack following an epi injection. How to spur your health insurance—die because they refused services. But the allergist is ordering scratch and patch tests as well as looking at thyroid, autoimmune and other possibilities. Hopeful.
Did you continue on thyroid? Do they think it was the hashi’s?
So sorry to hear about your daughter, I do hope she is feeling better. I hope the scratch and patch tests reveal what caused her reaction and then it can be avoided.
Do you both have hypothyroidism and what are your recent thyroid levels?
I think if you are not on sufficient thyroid meds. then this could make the hives worse.
I felt my levels were out last year when on W.P. Thyroid when my hives started.
I still take levothyroxine, and as my antibodies are high in range I do think I could have hashi's.
