Oh, good Baobabs. I'm not crazy about what I have watched so far although the last one is head of Megafoods and whole food vitamins seem to be more helpful than synthetic vitamins for some. Jorden Rubin came on the scene about twenty years ago with his Primal Defense probiotic. He found his own cure.
Episode 1 was really good I thought. It makes you realise that although supplements are a lifeline for many of us, they can be the most processed edible any of us put into our mouths!
Now I remember that Mira also did weight lifting. That has always been recommended for osteo.
Did you recognize any of those vitamin companies besides Thorne? How they make supplements really is important. Dr. Group went into a thorough explanation for his process. He also energizes them. It may be the fulvic acid which everyone is talking about. I took Restore twice which may be comparable.
I have to reset all my supplements as I go along and make sure of no stearate which he said coats the pill and makes it less available. yeesh!
No I hadn't heard of any of the companies. American I think? I agree with you, what are some of the less reputable companies thinking of? Not us or health benefits that's for sure!
I think I missed part of episode 1. I've looked for answers to osteoporosis for years. I don't think they have come up with anything beyond vitamin D and hydoxyapatite calcium. In the alternative world, Jon Barron says that progesterone is good for building bone which makes me think a progesterone deficiency is part of the problem of osteoporosis.
The series is concentrating on the supplement and not so much on conditions. I think any of the focus on mitochondria would help osteoporosis.
The guy who spoke on Episode 1, Jayson Calton is co writer of the book Rebuild Your Bones and has influenced my protocol for reversing OP. Strangely enough they don't mention the role of estrogen or progesterone in bone regeneration or the development of OP. My Endo who has treated over 4,000 cases of OP said he has never seen a post menopausal woman reverse OP naturally, without the use of pharma meds. I so hope I prove him wrong!
Oh, I didn't know that. I can see how a low metabolism makes it very difficult to rebuild anything. We need stem cells, growth hormone and enzymes all in short supply when we are older. Can you do some weight lifting?
Don't go on the pharmaceutical. It's not even good bone. My sister took it and then had cervical cancer and needed a heart valve replacement. I blame some of it on the extra calcium but she also had an i.u.d. which may be involved. She had lost part of her thyroid years before all of that.
Yes, prove him wrong!!!! Is dexa scan what you use?
The first interview with Ed Group got rather deep into supplement making and I was impressed that he was not going to take investors who would try to change his processes. He made some comparisons with other companies where his storage for raw plants are made of glass while others use metal containers. He does not use alcohol for extraction and it seems they are scrupulous when going through the many steps of bringing about the final supplement. I looked him up and his brand and they are very reasonably priced.
