Has anyone looked at a webpage under the name of forefronthealth.com and their discussion about using progesterone oil to combat Hashimoto’s thyroiditis ? If you have , have you bought the oil and how did you respond ? Makes for an interesting read about Hashimotos being brought about by oestrogen dominance ? Be interested to hear your views ?

Just having a read now very interesting,it’s funny because I’ve greatly increased our greens since blood tests came back with low folate levels and I’ve not been feeling great since doing that, sleeping an hour then waking up anxious etc continues most of night like that so I think I’ll lay off the greens and test his theory over this next week see if my sleep pattern changes back as I’m not liking this pattern.i can always use supplements to increase the folate.

I had to give up hrt oestrogen only because of horrendous side effects and had been actually doing much better since doing that so I’m interested in learning some more from this guy.

Since I’ve gone on the b12 and bmulti and magnesium and now just ready to start d3/k2 I’ve def been more alert not so dopey and forgetful and it’s all thanks to the great advice from these lovely people here.just waiting now on mma test results coming* back from medichecks but I’m happy feel like I’m making good progress to next stage when I’ll retest it all again then post results here for more advice if any changes.

Thank you for your post.x

Thrones - I’ve recently reduced to an ultra low dose of oestrogen as anything higher knocks me out with fatigue, quite the opposite of what it’s supposed to do. The side effects of even medium dose oestrogen were fatigue to the point of having to sleep and feeling freezing cold. This pushed me to have a thyroid check which my gp says is satisfactory, I don’t feel well and still trying to work out why. What we’re your side effects?

I’d get your thyroid results and post on here for advice Jamima it’s worth it’s weight in gold I’m so grateful to these people here they’ve helped point me in the right direction when I felt so overwhelmed and lost.

Hrt was like a jolt when I first started it I felt better initially first 5-6 months then I started to get so many new symtoms my breast pain was dredful like two huge cannonballs stuck to me they went solid.hair started falling out really badly enough to leave tracks along parting showing really pink scalp was horrible.worst was pain in my back ,my right rib cage and I had so many tests done but no answers and of course all the consultants saying no couldn’t be hrt it doesent do this, try increasing doses or try adding in testosterone, all the while I got worse.anyway long story short I gave up on it around 18 months ago and all of these issues I had disappeared which was great because I had enough going on which I’m convinced now is because of the imbalance in my vit b12,d3,magnesium etc so that’s what I’m working on right now then I’ll get retested in 3 months and see what my friends on here suggest if anything.Hrt does not work for everyone.

Thank you thrones, I’ve already posted my results and, like you, I’m working on vits and iron. I’ve reduced hrt to micro dose and considering stopping soon as I’m not convinced it’s helping anymore. I agree, lots of great advice on here.

Good luck Jamima.I have absolutely no regrets stopping hrt it just wasn’t for me and I’ve found other ways of dealing with things x

Thank you, good luck to you too.

I've heard the view that it is excess vitamin A. Lots of people have oestrogen dominance and don't have hashis and vice versa. The author of this site doesn't have a great reputation. I've never heard of progesterone OIL outside this site so it might just be something he's trying to sell. If your sex hormones are out of balance, correcting that will make you feel much better, but blindly taking sex hormones can make you very ill.

I've always had my doubts about the person who runs this site (forefront health) because a few years ago I discovered from one of his customers who posted on this forum that the website owner was recommending a high sugar and carb diet and eating six times a day. It sounded nuts to me, as well as being a guaranteed way of developing insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. The author's website was called something like "Hypothyroid Revolution" at the time.

Its the same with loads of websites you currently find on the internet and proclaiming to follow a specific regimen or take this or that in order to get healthy! The vast majority of them are based on false claims and pseudoscience, without any proper scientific standing.

Restrict this nutrient here or cut out this food group there and you will be well, it has helped me and look at me I am a great celebrity with no scientific credentials to my name but I can really help you as it has helped me (and certainly my bank account)!!!

If we would follow all this advice out there, people would not be able to eat anything, live on supplements and have the joy of life sucked right out of us. There are no easy shortcuts to combatting certain conditions such as autoimmune diseases and in adding or restricting certain things you will, if you are not careful, unbalance other things in your metabolism, with unknown consequences for the future. If someone is giving this sort of advice and selling something to you as well, be very weary - there are new 'miracle discoveries' popping up all over the place. My advice is, if it does not sound right - it most likely isn't!

I know a lot of people here have lost faith in the health system and in their GPs, but please be very cautious and check things out thoroughly before embarking on something drastic - and you certainly don't want to make things worse for yourself.

I bought it but it hasn't arrived yet. Will post results here, hopefully it works as well as the reviews say it does!
