I finally did it and sent off for a Blood test pack. I am not squeamish about blood so there couldn’t be any difficulty in collecting a sample by my own endeavours, could there? Monday morning I was up and ready to start. I pricked one finger and watched the first drop of blood hit the tube then waited and waited and waited. I tried again with another finger and a couple of drops hit the bottom of the tube and the flow stopped. With anxiety rising and two fingers aching, I sacrificed a third finger and slowly, massaging like mad I managed to fill the tube to the minimum OK level. Three hours later with bruised fingers I sat down at my computer. I became aware of a strange sensation in my right hand, looked down to see my mouse and keyboard swimming with blood and blood dripping from my bruised fingers. Is it just me?
I think my results look OK and suggest my conversion to active T4 is quite good. Have I got this right? I still suffer from high levels of exhaustion at times and need a long recovery time if I overdo things but otherwise feel OK. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I got the FT3 and FT4 the wrong way round in my head DOH! So conversion is poor. I am on 75 mg of Levo and make every effort to take 1 hour before eating in morning. Next time, I am getting the full Vits tested by Medichecks. Last time I was tested (sorry have lost the print out Dec2019) GP said that all normal but I thought that B12 was low on scale so started supplementing with B12. I am a red head and live in Scotland and my vitD levels have always been low (not tested in Dec) so I have started supplementing with VitD. Also eat black pudding and/or liver pate every day. So, do you think I need to persevere with improving B12, Ferritin and D3 and stick to the gluten free diet? Plus, try and go out walking every morning to catch the little sun that’s around?
