Adrenal Stress Panel - take thyroid medicine or leave

Hi all

I’ve ordered a Regenerus Adrenal Stress Panel and I have been told by them to take my thyroid medication (T4 and T3) as normal in the morning and then take the saliva as instructed.

Does anyone know if this is correct? I’m so used to people giving us false information that I now questions advice.

Thanks

If you have been given that information by Regenerus themselves, why would you doubt it?

Has your kit arrived and you have the instruction leaflet and other paperwork?

I use Regenerus and the instruction leaflet gives information about how/when to take last doses of topical/sublingual/oral/pellets and patch sex hormones/melatonin/DHEA.

Medications are taken as normal, there is a form you fill in to list what you take medication-wise so they know to take anything into account if necessary.

Hi

Yes my kit has arrived and I called to ask about thyroid medication and he said I can take it. I suppose I question things now as GPs can’t even tell you correct information about not taking thyroid medical before a blood test.

I’ll do the morning saliva sample first then take my thyroid medication straight after.

The leaflet does states that oral hormones are to be used as prescribed on the day.

No caffeine all day :( Love a cup of tea, never mind it’s just one day.

Thanks

The leaflet does states that oral hormones are to be used as prescribed on the day.

If you look at the heading for that section it does state that they are stipulating oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, melatonin and DHEA only. It doesn't mean thyroid hormones or they would mention that.

You list your thyroid medication, and any other medication, etc, on the sheet that you send back with your samples.

I take my thyroid meds in the early hours of the morning, between about 3am and 6am, so I take mine as normal and my first saliva sample is usually about 8.30am.
