The product Tertroxin was de-branded in the UK and is just "Liothyronine" and from Mercury Pharma (part of Advanz). (This was to cynically exploit a pricing loophole and massively increase the price here.) The are now two further UK makes - Morningside (who supply 5, 10 and 20 microgram tablets) and Teva (20 microgram only).
Aventis Cynomel is now, I believe, branded Sanofi Cynomel from France.
There is Sanofi Henning Thybon from Sanofi Deutschland.
LA Pharma is very questionable - no-one seems to know much about it and I am not aware of anyone using it (although a few have bought at least some).
Abdi Ibrahim Tiromel from Turkey.
Unipharma Liothyronine from Greece.
I do not like the site you have visited - it has not been maintained and a lot of people seem to get misled. Also, what works for one person might not for another - and vice versa. Ranking by strength is not ideal.
Thank you for the information-I very much appreciate it. I do not have a prescription. My doctor thinks T3 is the devil and will only prescribe T4. I live in Barcelona, and can drive to France if I have too.
I agree regarding the site, unfortunately doctors don't want to learn or change their prescribing methods so I'am as are many; stuck using the web to gain information. I have since found this site (which I do believe is reputable)
I have read that Liothyronine Sodium Tablets, USP Mayne Pharma are good and not as expensive as Pfizer Cytomel. Does anyone no a reputable place online to buy any of the above in Europe..?
Many thanks for any and all input. Its just shocking how this disease is treated by the medical profession. I have 2 very small twin boys and I'm at my wits end with no energy, hair, swelling etc.
There are few European sources of T3 as most countries require a prescription.
Turkey appears not to.
We hear varying stories about Greece - some people definitely require a prescription, others manage to get some without. But that is if you go there in person.
