I agree with Lola, but note that you don't have to go to Greece and buy it OTC, you can get it via the Internet, that's how I get mine - and it works great.

This is a very old thread - over seven years.

Please write a brand new post if you want information about where to source. If you do not have a prescription, ask for information by Private Message. You post will be closed to replies.

If you get any suggestions, we advise you to contact one of the admins by Private Message as we have had a number of people trying to scam members by taking money but not supplying as promised.

I'll now close this thread to replying.

You can enquire at the local chemist if they can provide liothyronine (T3). They may not need a prescription and it might be easy to get. If not you will have to source your own.

I lived in CZ for three years, you will need a prescription for a pharmacy.

"Cytomel" is a specific make - in the USA and many other countries that is owned by Pfizer (formerly King).

Liothyronine is the active ingredient.

There are several Euopean makes:

Sanofi (formerly Henning) Thybon

Sanofi (formerly Sanofi-Aventis) Cynomel

Uni-Pharma Liothyronine

Abdi Ibrahim Tiromel

Unless you ask a pharmacy in the country, you are unlikely to find out what they can get.

I went to doctor office in the Czech republic asking about cytomel, the doctor had no clue, she said they do not prescribe active t3 form...she looked at me like Im from the moon. I also asked in the pharmacy and they do not carry anything like cytomel...so WEIRD. Just curious which brand they would be familiar with...seems so odd that they would not have anything with liothyronine. Im willing to buy it from anywhere else, can someone PM me where to get it online...from reliable source? thx

Within the Czech Republic, is it legal to buy prescription-only medicines from abroad?

If so, you could continue to buy Cytomel from the USA.

Makes available within Europe, but possibly not the Czech Republic, include Henning Thybon, Sanofi Cynomel and a Sandoz product.

First time I went to a doctor in Czech I had T3 from my home country with me and showed my doctor the package, After that she called some pharmacy and they said they could import Cynomel from France, so the doctor prescribe that for me

also have question about synthroid. is synthroid dosage (from USA) equal to dosage of Euthyrox (in Europe). In other words if I take in USA 125mcg of synthroid would it be equal to 125mcg of Euthyrox?

Other than the usual differences people find between makes, yes, they are all the same.
