What’s naturethroid like nowadays??

Been on TR Man for a couple of years and doing ok apart from a smell of smoke in my nostrils at night 🙈. Came off naturethroid when it went downhill just wondering what it’s like now? I’ve got about 5 months worth of TR Man left and due to recent panic that may not return so just want to be prepared in advance

If you were to start taking it now, you might see all your levels drop. I was taking it from beginning of 2017- summer of 2019. Became completely hypothyroid. It was like taking sugar pills.

But it also depends on when your pharmacy ordered the batch. If they ordered a huge supply that was manufactured prior to 2017, it might still be OK.

Hi. I am taking nature throid and haven't had any problems. My levels have been pretty much the same.

I’ve been taking Nature-Throid for the last 2 years, my levels are optimal.

I just spoke to a pharmacy yesterday about the shortages they've been experiencing with NDT, and it's still going on. I used to have to call from pharmacy to pharmacy to find it - very stressful. One pharmacy was willing to swap WP for the Nature Throid as they are same manufacturer. I don't know how the quality is at this point, I've heard of bad reports and swine flu epidemics with suppliers?!

Like you I was taking Nature-throid, and seemed to be ok on it until it was messed around with and I had terrible symptoms. I switched to TR Mann around August and had problems with that also, I was taking 2 tablets a.m. and suffered awful dizzy spells, so bad I couldn't walk. My fiancé suggested taking the tablets apart, and it worked! I have been feeling great for the past 4 months, no problems whatsoever, I feel like I have been reborn. TR Mann is so much better than anything I have ever taken, I have been given my life back.

It only took 16 years to find something that worked since having a complete thyroidectomy. I have enough supplies to take me to March 2022, and then I will have to think again, which is a worry, but I prefer not to think about it right now and just enjoy the now and feeling good.

I was fine on naturethroid for several years. Early last year I became quite ill with crippling back pain (words cannot describe), could not walk, not being able to get out of bed in mornings so tired, strict diet but weight remained, but as I was taking NDT and well on it for years, never dreamed it could be that. Went to GP had a full and complete blood test. The results for thyroid were that my TSH (which was always 0.01) had risen to 1.83 but T4 and T3 were below range. Obviously the TSH ridden GP told me my thyroid was fine (regardless of me being fine at 0.01). So I took some T3 and within hours my back pain eased up and had gone by the next day.

Yes, let's here it again for T3. Why oh why can't doctors get the message?

Well I did have a blip on naturethroid early last year when the batch I had was obviously not doing the job .

I’m fine again now though and getting consistent blood results ever since .

I’m another member of the gang who experienced a huge blip with it just after they restarted production—but I’m fine again now.
