Antibiotics and levo

Does levo need to be taken 4 hours apart? Thanks for any advice! X

I would say yes keep them apart By at least 3 hours and no supplements unless you can take them with antibiotics. Also I think Levothyroxine can be affected by antibiotics it should say on the antibiotic and the Levothyroxine leaflet. Hope this helps

Thankyou I will try to separate it as much as possible. I hate medication at all but seem to have it coming out of my eyes at the moment! Thanks xx

I agree with Den1987. I would always give my thyroxine the first dibs on absorption so get that inside you early in the morning so that it is absorbed completely before you put anything else in your stomach - even breakfast. I also believe that antibiotics interact with thyroid meds, however, I have taken the two together on about three occasions (over ~ 15 yrs) and had no perceptible negative reactions. Sometimes you absolutely need antibiotic however, so just keep them separated by a few hours and it should all work out.
