Has anyone seen the price of thyroid-s now?wow are they getting greedy now?i seen a bottle for 315$!i seen bottle of 1000 for 128$last month does anyone know why or will it stay like that,,i know 2 other brands are out of production, maybe in high demand?will thyroid-s be stopped on production?

Supply and demand. Only one brand of Thai NDT now. Shortage of raw material, Asian swine fever has meant less pigs. Price has been rising lately.

No-one can confirm whether Thyroid-S will stop production other than the manufacturer, maybe worth contacting them.

Look for the New Zealand product Thyrovanz, which is dessicated bovine thyroid. It is sold as a food supplement or something, so does not require a script, but could be sold as a medicine (in which case it would require a script). It was much much cheaper than porcine sources currently are, last I looked (although I have a decent supplier in Australia). My doctor actually put me onto the NZ product. If you contact them and ask about equivalences with pork thyroid dosage, they will tell you, whilst disclaiming medical knowledge.

I asked a couple of suppliers and both said Thyroid-S was now only being made when there were enough orders to make a production run worthwhile, although I don't know how true this is. I think the manufacturers increased the price to suppliers and then the suppliers added their own profit to get to the current awful prices. One particular supplier increased prices hugely many months before the rest did leading me to think they knew what was coming.

Yes. I have one of my dogs on Thyroid S. ... Less than a year ago I paid $89.00 for 1,000. ... I just had to reorder and it was $189.00 for 1,000. ... One of the order sites had a message about Customs in Thailand restricting shipments. No explanation why?.
