Is Thyroid-S safe?

I have recently purchased a bottle of Thyroid-S. Does anyone else out there take this? Do you know if it contains the amounts of T3 that it claims? Have you heard any reports of heavy metals, or counterfeiting? Many thanks for your replies.

Judith13 If you purchased your Thyroid-S from a reliable, member recommended Thai supplier they will be fine, the genuine article. If you purchased them from a shopping site here in the UK I know someone who had fake Thyroid-S from a seller on that site and just 1 tablet made her ill.

Many people do well on Thyroid-S, some people prefer other brands of NDT, it's an individual thing.

I'd advise you remove the Thai supplier's name, we're not allowed to put that information on the open forum and it will get removed by Admin.

I will PM you later, just off out now.

Hi Judith, I buy from a Genuine Thai seller and it has worked wonders for me.. I now feel normal. It took a while to get the dose right, I gradually increased by one tab every 2 weeks until I felt all my symptoms were gone.

Would you mind PMing me the supplier details please? I've been considering switching over from Levothyroxine and seeing positive posts like yours convinces me this is the right direction for me to try.

Amyjay4 can you tell me how long it took for you to feel that your symptoms were gone and how many tablets you now take?

Thanks.

Hi Hilary,

I first started taking them in 2012 and felt a difference immediately, within weeks from just 1 tab a day, I then fell pregnant and as I did not know much about the Thyroid then I assumed I was cured. : )) Being pregnant I obviously had an increase in hormones and felt fab! Slowly a year or so after having my son and stopping breastfeeding I felt ill again so I just started taking again about 2 months ago. I now take 4 tabs/grains as I was taking 1 for every 2 weeks before increasing by 1 until my symptoms vanished. I personally believe it is safer than Thyroxine as it is natural and was used years ago before the Pharmaceutical companies started to make them. I did try Thyroxine prior to the Thyroid S and was still left with many symptoms. I have to add I have also cut out Gluten and Wheat from my diet, had a vit D injection and I also avoid Fluoride, I bought a water filter that removes Fluoride from Amazon as most you buy in the shops do not filter the Fluoride. Oh and I also now take pro biotics every few months called Elixa I think. x

Thank you so much for replying. I have been taking Thyroid S since May this year and have increased slowly by a quarter tablet every three or four weeks. I am now on three and three quarters and think I still need to increase. I have to say, my GP does not know I am self-medicating, but accepted I am better informed than the average patient when my blood results came back improved by adding T3 in addition to Levothyroxine. I too have cut out Gluten as best I can and avoid Fluoride. I was a bit anxious when I tried to re-order Thyroid S from Amazon and found it to be unavailable. I understand this has happened before and it came back. Onward and upwards. Good health to you. X
