Your previous post shows you are hypothyroid.....Is GP still currently refusing to treat?

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Being hypothyroid will make it more difficult to get vitamin levels optimal

See a different GP, your results suggest you need Levothyroxine

Did you get Coeliac blood test done. Are you on strictly gluten free diet??

Hi Slow/Dragon

My gp has asked me to do another blood test in December as he says TSH could go down!!!! Don’t see how as has been steadily rising. He said if it has risen he would refer me to an endo. As I have had an unsatisfactory experience in the past with consultants I don’t see how that will help.

Coeliac blood test was negative. I sometimes find my brain won’t co-operate

With me and I speak gibberish. Have lost my confidence and enthusiasm for life is this all down to being hypothyroid.

Thank you for replying

So your next step is to try strictly gluten free diet

High TPO and TG antibodies confirms Hashimoto's

Non Coeliac Gluten sensitivity (NCGS) and autoimmune disease

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/296...

The predominance of Hashimoto thyroiditis represents an interesting finding, since it has been indirectly confirmed by an Italian study, showing that autoimmune thyroid disease is a risk factor for the evolution towards NCGS in a group of patients with minimal duodenal inflammation. On these bases, an autoimmune stigma in NCGS is strongly supported

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/300...

The obtained results suggest that the gluten-free diet may bring clinical benefits to women with autoimmune thyroid disease

nuclmed.gr/wp/wp-content/up...

In summary, whereas it is not yet clear whether a gluten free diet can prevent autoimmune diseases, it is worth mentioning that HT patients with or without CD benefit from a diet low in gluten as far as the progression and the potential disease complications are concerned

restartmed.com/hashimotos-g...

Despite the fact that 5-10% of patients have Celiac disease, in my experience and in the experience of many other physicians, at least 80% + of patients with Hashimoto's who go gluten-free notice a reduction in their symptoms almost immediately.

Jarrow Methylcobalamin on Amazon also do a 5000mcg lozenge. I would do one jar of those and then the 1000 mcg lozenge.

Are you taking B9/Folate/Folate with the B12 ? - they work together in the body in an important way. Maybe a GOOD B Complex would help. The amount of B12 in your test is both bound and unbound and only around 20% is available for transportation into your cells where it is needed.

Excess B12 is excreted so you cannot overdose.

Do consider that further testing is of little consequence as results can be skewed - showing high levels in the blood - but nothing to indicate the amount in the cells ...

Testing Homocysteine and MMA can be helpful - if high in range then it can indicate low levels of B12 in the cells.
