I recently had some blood work done based on lot of hypo symptoms, below are my results. Everything came back normal except for the presence of antibodies, so I am wondering if I should even bother seeing an endo?
TSH: 2.1
Free T3: 3.2 (reference range 2.3-4.2)
Free T4: 0.9 (reference range 0.8-1.8)
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies: 3 (reference range <9)
Thyroglobulin Antibodies: 4 (reference range <1)

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Your free T4 is very low in range, most healthy people would be at least 1.3. Your free T3 is just under half way up the range, which suggests that your thyroid is struggling, but not yet bad enough to get anyone to treat you. Your TPO antibodies are "in range" but TG antibodies are positive - if it was the other way round, you'd be more likely to get treatment.
Thank you for your replies. Do any of you know if eating or drinking before these blood tests make a difference on the results? I didn't fast for these labs and wondering if I should do them again.
