I wrote a post recently about stopping taking my levothyroxine. I've now been off it for over 8 weeks.
I was wondering if someone could help interpret my results please.
CRP 0.86 (<5)
Ferritin 17.5 (13-150)
Folate 4.62 (3.89-19.45)
B12 69.3 (37.5-187.5)
TSH 3.82 (0.27-4.2)
Free T3 5.46 (3.1-6.8)
Free thyroxine 15.9 (12-22)
Thyroglobulin antibodies 29.4 (<115)
Thyroid peroxidase antibodies 90.7 (<34)
I know the ferritin/folate/b12 are quite low, but prior to stopping levo the ferritin was at 6 and I have done nothing to increase it at all, only change is stopping levo.

I’ll let others reply about the thyroid results, but thought I’d mention that I paid for an iron infusion recently. I went to the iron clinic in London. They give you a years worth in one hit. Was in and out in the hour. Expensive but I wanted to get my vitamins etc in a good place before taking thyroid meds. If you don’t feel well I would certainly consider this treatment. Life’s too short
Could be your email went in their spam or something. Who knows. They were really good. I’ve had IV nutrition before (didn’t do anything for me to be honest) and it’s the same procedure. Canula in vein and then they feed you iron for about 20 mins. Wasn’t scary at all or anything. Will be scared when I get my credit card statement though lol
Yeh, I will get on with it, doesn't sound bad at all. Having said that, I do wonder whether my low iron was some sort of side effect from the levothyroxine.
I’ve read on here, and the iron guy said, that low vitamins seem to go hand in hand with low thyroid. Which comes first I don’t know. I don’t know if levo affects iron levels in any way directly, though. If you feel this, you could post that as a new question just to see if anyone has any feedback. I’m too new to comment but it could be a “thing”, you could be right
