Metavive and Adrenal supplements

Hi

Can anyone explain the difference in these supplement dosages and what would be suitable take if on previously 50/75 levo and 5/10 T3 current I am taking WP NDT 1/1.5 grain but wanted to try these supplements to see if they were any good. But need to know what dose is suitable and what adrenal supplement is a good one to try I want to try the bovine first not the porcine.

First of all, before taking an adrenal supplement, you should do a 24 hour adrenal saliva test to know if you need adrenal support. There are different supplements needed depending on whether your cortisol is high or low, so you don't want to be taking a cortisol lowering supplement if your cortisol is already low, or a cortisol raising supplement if your cortisol is already high.

The best test is one that tests both cortisol and DHEA to give a full picture, avoid any test that only does cortisol.

As for Metavive, it is marketed as a food supplement with no declared hormone content, so it's impossible for anyone to tell you if any particular dose would be the equivalent of your current thyroid hormone replacement. Some members take Metavive and seem to do well so hopefully they will respond with their experience.
