Could I have some advice please. I was put on lio (t3) a few weeks ago. 20mg tablet. one half in morning and one half at night. She also prescribed me propronaol 3x a day to stop the heart palptations. Literally that night I got chest pains and they stayed with me for 3 days and got worse and I ended up in A and E. I was told to come off them by A&E. My specilist has just sent me a letter saying I should cut the tablet in quarters. So 5mg every morning and 5mg every night so it's less so i did and the same thing happened. She has booked me an appt for next month to see her to discuss going forward. Dr has put me back on levothryzine t4 until i see her. (i was taking off this due to reactions) again after 5 days of taking it, I have started to get a migrane which i can handle with pain killers but I keep getting weird zaps in my head that take me off guard it also feels a bit like veritgo. Constantly there and getting worse with the more i take and every now and than it just zaps and makes me jump. Like my heads moving about its horrible. I'm on 50mg levo as my tsh is 88. I have hasnitmos thryiditus. (my t3 and t4 are in range but i no that doesn't mean a thing) .. I can only tolerate feeling like this as i have 2 little kids.. what would you do? I'm gonna ask the specilist if i can try liquid form of levo as haven't tried it. Now gonna try and take antihistamines to see if that help with the veritgo if that's what it Is. Feels like my brain has pressure in it and my left ear starts to hurt. So bloody weird. what would you do? i dont wanna stop taking nothing but my tsh is getting out of control x thanks

I think I would get my vit d, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested, and supplement accordingly to optimise them. I would also try a gluten-free diet. And, if that doesn't help, a dairy-free diet. Your reactions could be due to nutritional deficiencies.
My vitamin d was 58 in September and I've been supplmenting. My b12 was 468 in May and I've been supplmenting. folic acid is 9 and ferritin is 37 and I'm taking 2 irons a day. On a gluten free diet as we speak. The reactions only come when i take the levo.. once I stop the levo the feeling go
Hello, I'd go back to the doctor, or endo, and explain this to them and ask for their help and support. I find that if, however different our past experiences have been, if we psyche ourselves up to go in with an attitude of "I trust that you want to help me and will do your best for me" then the medics are far more helpful.
Research has shown that under threat we become unable to empathise, I think we can often, unintentionally, make our GPs feel threatened because we are dissatisfied. This is not to say we don't have good reasons for feeling dissatisfied and angry, many of us do, but since that attitude obstructs empathy the responsibility comes back onto us to change. Not fair I know, but you do deserve some good help and support.
