Sorry if this is a rely dumb question. I had a load of bloods done last week and a trh test, via an endo appointement. I was told that they would call Monday with the results. No one called and my gp surgery doesn't have the results.
How do I get the results, I don't really have any way of talking to the endo without seeing the gp first?

You can telephone the Endo's secretary and ask for the results, including their reference ranges, to be given to you - perhaps suggest they email them for quickness rather than waiting for a letter.
I've had good success calling up secretaries, you can usually find the number by searching online, Ideally you want the secretary to the consultant head of department, or one of the senior consultants. They will be able to get your results even if you didn't actually see that consultant.
I'm not surprised you didn't get a call back, as doctors tend to be very casual with giving us our results and don't see the point. I much prefer to get an actually print out in my hand than a summary in words or writing from a doctor!
If you still get nowhere then you would have to write a Subject Access Request letter to the endo or his secretary. (It's not difficult.) They (medical and admin staff) should accept verbal requests by law, but they often don't. If you write a letter and specify that it is a Subject Access Request they would legally be on a very sticky wicket if they ignored it.
So I phoned the hospital and they won't given the results to me.
Then they are breaking the law, you might want to remind them of this. The Data Protection Act and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) gives you legal entitlement to your medical records, including results.
How do I get a copy of my health (medical) records?
A request for information from health (medical) records has to be made with the organisation that holds your health records – the data controller. For example, your GP practice, optician or dentist.
For hospital health records, contact the records manager or patient services manager at the relevant hospital trust. You can find a list of hospital trusts on the NHS website:nhs.uk/servicedirectories/p...
It doesn't surprise me that you've had no joy. I've found it impossible a few times to track down results
You've had great advice from others, but one thing I'd try first of all is to make doubly sure that the number you're ringing is a secretary or the consultant's office, and not a phone number that goes through to the ward, an appointments line or something else. Often those numbers will go through to people who just don't have the ability to access your results or send them to you. They will tend to speak to you as if you just arrived from Mars!
Sometimes I've found it impossible to find a secretary type number, but it can usually be found if you search around online. Useful words to search for are the name of the consultant listed on your appointment letter, the name of the department, the name of other consultants in that department that come up when you search for it, etc, etc.
Hi, it wasn't the secretary. I managed to find an old website which had some numbers on there but it was out of date. I ended up ringing the main hospital number and being put through, not to an Endo secretary though.
Wolfiesmom08, looks like you might have accidentally made this post in the wrong place. This is a thread about getting hold of results from the hospital.
