Here's what I've done: requested my gp do 1. do thyroid function. Full blood. Tsh receptor antibody, thyroid antibody .2. To inform my endo of latest function test result. 3.To Inform my endo of stopping the carbi in surgeon's advice . And 3. that I await my appointment with endo in Dec. before considering removal of my thyroid gland. What have I got so far: ? -thyroid function test request. Full blood, tsh receptor antibody and thyroid antibody. No luck with ferritin b12 folate vit d. She said I Dont need them.

See you're in Aus
Can you get vitamins tested privately?
Come back with new post once you get thyroid results
Hey there again,
Well done for listing out what you want from your doctor.
Could you cc. your endocrinologist into this doctor's request ?
Just to keep him in the loop, so to speak, and as back up for your current concerns ??
Not ideal I know, but as previously suggested could you get your vitamins and minerals actioned privately as these are necessary for your overall well being during this very difficult period.
Take good care
I've been trying so hard to include the endo but without my gp's cooperation its not possible. I rang the clinic and they said I can't speak to her (endo) it requires my gp to do it. Hence my request to her. An important piece is missing out of this scenario. And with the hormones all over the place its worn me down. I understand the importance of vitamins at this time. I'm really concerned about my health. This is not me at all. I Dont know who I am anymore. One minute OK next down. I'm struggling and can't make any sense out of the situation I'm. The only real help and advise I've managed to achieve is with you people thank you.
I have some understanding of how you might be feeling, with amongst other things my memory and ability to read, understand and retain basic information seriously compromised.
I just thought a copy email to your endo might just work to ensure she was up to speed with your progress, and totally understand this might not have been a possibility, but was just throwing it out there, as a suggestion.
It's concerning that your doctor doesn't appear to be supporting you. This does happen, it happened to me and many of us on this website have been in a similar situation.
Stand strong and firm, you're doing fine, though fully appreciate this is very draining and an upsetting time for you.
