Cortisol testing following steroid injection

I've been taking Erfa for 6 weeks and my Endocrinologist has requested a 9am cortisol test along with thyroid and vitamins. Since then I've had a steroid injection for arthritis and wonder if this will skew the results? Any advice please?

Possibly. Ask your Endo for advice and then he/she can decide if you should wait a bit longer before having the cortisol tested.

Unfortunately he's on holiday now until I see him on September 6.

You can always ask his secretary to ask someone else for you. I’m sure they would prefer that than wasting time and money on a test that could be compromised by you having had the steroid injection. I know when I’m having any cortisol tests that it states if I’ve had to increase my steroid dose in the weeks prior to the tests then to contact them for advice.
