175 mcg of what? Levo? How do you take it? Because you don't seem to be absorbing very much. Do you take it on an empty stomach and leave at least an hour before eating or drinking anything other than water? Do you take any other supplements/medication at the same time?

Yes 175mg of Levo, always on empty stomach with water. Wait about an hour before I eat afterwards . No other medication/supplements at the same time.

Are you taking oral oestrogen? If so, do you leave four hours between your thyroid hormone and the oestrogen?

Yes oral estrogen, and leave at least 4 hours between meds. I am at my wits end now trying to figure out if I need to up my dosage of levo to maybe 200mg.

Well, I think it's pretty obvious that you do. Are you self-medicating? The problem is, that you don't seem to be absorbing the 175 mcg, so what are the chances that you'll absorb 200? We need to find out why you aren't absorbing it.

Do you know if you have high or low stomach acid? Are you taking PPIs?

No I have no known stomach issues. I do take dulcolax for constipation but at night. So always take thyroid meds mid morning , after being to the toilet

Constipation is a major hypo symptom, so not surprising you have that. Have you tried taking magnesium citrate and vit C to help with that? Magnesium should be taken four hours away from levo, but you could try taking some vit C at the same time as levo to see if it increases absorption.

It is true that when taking oestrogen, people do need higher doses of levo. So, maybe you should increase to 200 mcg and see what happens. :)

Thank you so much for all your replies. I will take the vitamin c with the levo, yes have tried everything natural for the constipation, but at this stage its only the dulcolax works. I will increase and hopefully see better blood results at my next appointment 😊
