Need NDT desperately

Dear members,

I am usually not the type of person to ask or seek advice on line, but I have hit a brick wall.

I have an under active thyroid and was diagnosed whilst living in the USA. Since my diagnosis I have been prescribed NDT and function well on this. However, since I have returned to the UK I found it near impossible to find any doctor to prescribe NDT ( any brand ). I have tried Synthetic thyroid (Levo ) medication for a short period and found that it had very little or practically no effect on me and my symptoms began to return, so I started taking the NDT again and was back to my normal self within days.

So my dilemma is now I’m in the UK I desperately need to find any doctor that is willing to prescribe NDT. I have always been self paying for my medication in the USA and I am more than willing to see someone privately and pay for the NDT. Can anyone help

You can send for the list of thyroid friendly doctors from Dionne at ThyroidUK, it will show any doctors who consider prescribing NDT. You can then ask for feedback by private message on any that you can travel to.
