Hope you are feeling better than you were six years ago :-) Are you taking thyroid hormones ? Are you still on AD's ?

Your VitD is VERY Low and is good at 100 PLUS - so needs some serious treatment. B12 and Folate are good. Was Ferritin tested ?

FT4 and FT3 are low in range ...

How are you feeling ? What other meds are you taking ? Supplements ? Sorry - a little more information would be helpful in order to interpret your posted results ...

Hi Marz, not feeling great tbh. Totally exhausted, lots of hypo symptoms still, goiter painful with nodules.

Ferritin was 92.4 ug/l

Thyroglobulin antibodies 240 Ku/l

Thyroid peroxidase antibodies >600 klu/l

Currently on 150mg levothyroxine and 150mg sertraline. No other supplements

Your Hypo feelings could actually be caused by that low Vitamin D level. You need that in a higher range to fell well. It's really low and that will cause feelings of fatigue and exhaustion.

Oh dear - sorry to read that. I have often read that it is the LOW T3 that causes symptoms and was in my case too !

Low VitD can be linked to depression as well as the low T3. Have you read up on anything that connects to depression ? They have now discovered a microbiome in the brain - in addition to the microbiome in the gut. As you have Hashimotos - have you considered being gluten free - gluten can cause gut inflammation that can impact the brain

I would suggest 10,000 IUs of VitD to raise your level - test at the end of summer to check where your levels are. There are important co-factors - magnesium and VitK2-MK7. Read around the site for more info and in particular the Replies by Seaside Susie who types loads of great information everyday on the subject.

Some members may mention the need for ranges of your results - labs do vary - so I have taken a guess !

Marz The references ranges are actually there, above each result but in faint print 😊

Yes you are right - I did see them in the beginning and then lost my way ! Too hot here today to even venture outside so am thinking all the fans have blown the grey matter away. ! Thank you ...

Oh no, please don't remind us that there's sun somewhere ... I've got damp, low temps, overcast and definitely no sun here.

It was the Ferritin and anti-bodies that were without ranges .... 😐

Ferritin range is 13-150, mine is 92.4

TA < 115, mine is 240

TPA < 34, mine is >600

Will look around the site for magnesium and vitk2

Do my thyroid hormones look in the optimal range?

As I mentioned earlier both T4 & T3 are low in range ... you are on a reasonable dose. How do you take the T4 ?

Sorry Marz, I missed the bit where you said T3 and T4 were low

I take T4 in the morning on an empty stomach

Will the vitamins help reduce the antibodies and increase T3 and T4?

Your Ferritin is fine - as is Folate and B12. It is your VitD that is dire and needs attention quickly. You have Hashimotos so being gluten free could help your gut and improve absorption. It may help the depression too. Only time will tell if your T4 and T3 improve ... Is it possible Setraline is contra-indicated ? Have you found the Kelly Brogan website ?

Not what you're looking for?
