Test interpretation

I’m on 1.25 grains of NP thyroid. Test was taken approximately 11 hours after dosing.

TSH 1.31 (0.358-3.740)

Free T4 0.95 (0.76-1.46)

Free T3 3.2 (2.2-4.0)

Feeling a bit lethargic and as if there is a slight lump in my throat.

Room to increase by 1/4 grain?

Are you splitting NDT dose ?

I am not currently splitting dose, but thought with the increase I would start splitting it 1 in morning and then 1/2 in afternoon. Thoughts?

I medicate 1.5 grains NDT. I take 1 grain at 6.30am and a half at 4pm.

Just take to fit in with your life style, around food and sups. Splitting dose is so much kinder to your body as reduces the rapidity of onset and prolongs the duration of T3’s action.

Yep, I would give it "Yes" vote. Measure your pulse and blood pressure (BP) before as baselines, go ahead and increase the dose and measure your pulse and BP afterwards. If there is no significant increase, that will be a safe dose. If your heart responds then drop back to previous dose - any negative effects will disappear after about 8 hours.
