These results suggest I may be over medicated although it looks like im not converting to T3 very well. Im supplementing with selenium but im not sure what else I can do? Also im on 50mcg Vit D so i think I'll increase that by 50%

Im also 7 weeks pregnant

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I just dont know if I should decrease my levothyroxine dose

I would say drop T4 and add T3

But I am not a doctor

If I wasnt pregnant that would be my thoughts too but I believe there is some controversy surrounding T3 supplementation in pregnancy

Suggest you stay on current dose and discuss with your endocrinologist

Better to be slightly over medicated than risk being under medicated at this stage.

Baby currently relies on you thyroid hormones

Medics currently very reluctant to allow prescription of T3 during pregnancy

FT3 is already low. If you reduced your Levothyroxine then FT3 would drop further

What's your folate and ferritin levels?

Thank you, I dont feel jittery or have any palpitations etc so I dont feel over medicated.

Feratin 39.9 (13-150)

Folate 19.8 (above 3.89)

Ive not been referred to an endo, and to be honest I didnt ask because I wonder if its a waste of time, the good people on this forum seem to know more about thyroid management I fear.

Folate looks fine

Your ferritin is not brilliant.

Obviously when pregnant your not allowed these days to eat liver or liver pate.

But other iron rich foods are allowed, red meat, spinach, pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate, plus daily vitamin C may help improve iron absorption

I make my own GF muesli. Using certified GF oats as base, (Sainsbury's ones my favourite) add mix of seeds, dried fruits and nuts...eg pumpkin, golden linseed, sunflower and chia seed, raisins, chopped figs, Brazil's, & walnuts ....other options can be chopped dates, apricots, etc

Tip bag of oats in large bowl, add seeds, fruit and nuts and store in tin.....makes about 20 portions.
