hi I’ve just received some results, how are they looking?

TSH- 0.03 (0.35-4.94)

Free T3 4.0 (2.4-6.00)

Free T4 11.1 (9.00-19.00)

I’m currently on 75ml of Liquid levo and 20mg of T3 spilt 10mg morning and afternoon. (Im supposed to be on just 15mg) but 20 suits me. Speaking to NHS Endo who is ringing me on a ‘Sunday’ would like to ask him if I can tweek my T3 meds up a bit, what’s my chances? Maybe I can get it up to what I’m actually taking! I have no issues with the dose I’m on but still tired. I have no thyroid gland left now so it’s all about the meds.

Big thanks to you all x

Actually its not all about the meds. Supplements help us just as much in many ways.

Your bio says you take some supplements but what were your latest results for ferritin, folate, B12 & D3?

We need OPTIMAL levels of vitamins for our thyroid hormone to work well.

When did you take Levo & T3 before this test? Recommended timing is 24hrs for Levo & 8-12hrs for T3.

Hi there I was 24 hours for both before taking test. I will ask Gp if they will test for ferritin folate b12 & d3

The likelyhood is that you will need some B vitamins but we need to see test results to know which and how much of each.

Free T4 (fT4) 11.1 pmol/L (9 - 19) 21.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4 pmol/L (2.4 - 6) 44.4%

I would think that FT4 is too low, it would be for most people although some do OK with a lowish FT4.

FT3 wont be far off where it needs to be. Its showing a false low as 24hrs between last dose & blood test.

This suggests you may need more Levo.

I’m hoping Gp will test my vitamins as they are ringing me on Friday, no doubt due to low Tsh which I’m not worried about really

If they wont then you need to take responsibility yourself as the majority of members here do.

Hi Bollieforme

I just had a gander at your profile and wondered about your vitamins. As Jaydee1507 says really. I certainly wouldn’t allow your thyroid hormone doses to be changed. Just keep everything stable get a vitamin panel test and then introduce anything deficient one at a time and give a couple weeks in between each introduction so if something disagrees with you you know what it is.

Everything has to be optimal (not just in range). SlowDragon has lots of replies over the forum about vitamins, as does seasidesusie who gave us so much. There is a real legacy in her profile for us all to benefit from. A fitting tribute. 😊
