I’ve been feeling very unwell for a long time now. Back and forth to GP referred to neuro and cardio and told all ok. Have functional B12 deficiency and treating low Vitamin D but still feel awful and now off work.
I suspect there’s something thyroid going on given my list of symptoms and the B12 is only helping so much. We also have family history of thyroid issues.
My last set of results from GP were:
T3 1.5
T4 14.7
TSH 1.21
I wondered if there may be an issue with my T3 or am I clutching at straws? Also My TSH before now has been 0.56 and 0.35.
I’m unsure about all of this and any guidance would be appreciated. I’ve just ordered private full screen thyroid tests from medicheck.
Thank you!
Vicki

The active hormone FT3 is important and missing as most GPs never ask for it and if they do Labs often refuse to do it as TSH is their gold standard. This is why many use private testing.
Your vitamins are low ,see Seaside Susies responses to posts on vits. You do not say if you are on levothyroxine but are unlikely to be prescribed it with that TSH as GPs usually do not prescribe until
TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies.
Blood draw should be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between your last thyroid hormone dose and take afterwards. Thyroid hormones should always be taken with one full glass of water and wait an hour before eating. Coffee also interferes with the uptake.
Vitamins/minerals should also be optimum. Vit B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.
