new to this site. Just found in the blood test that some thyroid figu ( that hasn't been identified before) interpretive as Hashimoto's disease , and it isn't cure for it. The doctor isn't consider that it is a problem. But it is affect functioning of all body.Another black spot in the modern medicine.. My TS,H T3, T4 are good. The Anti-TPO -40, and ANTI-TG is 1409, way out of range. No explanation from doctor, except list of unexceptional food , Vitamin D, and perhaps Selenium. I have occasional arrhythmia, that I am not worry much- it is under control. Any other suggestion. Not overweight, on good diet-gluten- free. Thanks

You need vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin levels tested

Add actual results and ranges on TSH, FT3 and FT4 plus vitamins if you have them

Low vitamin levels are extremely common

Link about high TG antibodies

Hi amodeo, welcome to the forum.

Tg antibodies do not affect the functioning of your body. They don't affect the function of anything. They keep your blood clean. And, your doctors is right, there is no cure for Hashi's. All we can do is replace the thyroid hormone that your thyroid can no-longer make enough of.

What is this list of 'except list of unexceptional food'? The only thing I know of that you shouldn't eat is soy. What else has he said?

I'm not really sure what sort of suggestions you're looking for. But, perhaps if you posted your actual blood test results, with the ranges, more people would comment. Just saying they are 'good', doesn't tell us anything. And, if that is your doctor's opinion, it could be wrong. :)
