I have had a left sided goitre for long time. It’s not overtly noticeable but visible especially when swallowing. I believe it has gotten flatter in appearance. However now I feel a squashing at the front on my neck whereas I couldn’t feel anything before. Any idea what could be happening here, to cause a change like this?

Thickness/Fullness in neck?
Mine ended up being cancer. Please have it checked out.
Hi PurpleNails, just wondering if you got your throat checked out?
I have previously had two ultrasound scans, a naso-endoscopy, a biopsy and thyroid uptake scan. I’m known to have a hyper functioning nodule. It’s only more recently I have actually felt the swelling in my neck. Recently had my 2nd hospital appointment but the doctors only goal is to convince me to have radioactive Iodine treatment. I did also go to the gp but they were more concerned that I had developed one swollen, very sore tonsil. As I take carbimazole, which can cause a drop in white cell count, I had a full blood count taken. As it turns out, almost everything was abnormally above range! So I now have scheduled a repeat test.
Thank you for sharing!
So the diagnostic tests were all good?
Ok to ask? If not, please just ignore my post.
Full blood count including TSH FT4 FT3?
White blood cell count was ok?
Were u told to stop your carbimazole?
Thank you
I have TSH FT4 FT3 every 6 weekly. It’s a real nuisance, as I have to book an appointment at the main hospital to have it syringed drawn. My nearby gp and even another closer clinic are unable to ever get any blood out of me. I’ve had to adjust the carbimazole a few times but I’ll have to keep taking it.
My white blood cell count was high, so was red cell, platelet, neutrophil, lymphocytes, and basophils. Mean cell volume was low but not really sure what it all means and if it’s related in anyway to nodule or taking carbimazole.
