Hi all, I promised myself when I started using this forum that I would post when I have a positive experience as well as when I’m feeling lost and confused! Last night I had an appointment with a private endo and for the first time in a year I was listened to and treated like a sane human being. He has arranged further tests to ensure that hashimoto’s is the only issue we’re facing and he is also going to arrange a trial of NDT ( I think he said armour but I forget). It was such a surprise to have the appointment led my the healthcare practitioner instead of by me and every suggestion came from him, all I had to do was provide as much detail about my symptoms as I could. He was also the first doctor in over a year to do a physical examination! What a difference finding a true professional makes. Anyway, enough bragging, I just wanted to share my positive.

It is great to have a positive post about a doctor who seems to know that the patient needs support and care and not relying upon the dots on a print-out of a blood test.

Also that he is open to providing other than levo if the patient isn't improving on levo.

I'm sure you will be excited.
