Wow when I finally wake up I have a whole Community out there that totally gets it I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired we're not lazy this just totally sucks!!

Welcome to our forum Chrissy2078 and I am sure members will be helpful in assisting you to return to good health. Thank you for giving some background history to your hypo journey.

Some advice to get the best from a blood test.

1. It always has to be the very earliest, and fasting (you can drink water). TSH is highest early but lowers throughout the day and may mean the difference in being diagnosed or getting an increase in dose.

2. The aim is a TSH of 1 or lower, with a Free T4, and Free T3 in the upper part of the ranges. (the latter two are rarely tested).

A TSH of 1 or lower (many doctors think 'anywhere' in the range is fine - even the top - but that's not what we want).

3. All vitamins and minerals have to be optimal, so ask for B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate. Everything has to be optimal.

Always get a print-out of your results for your own records and post if you have a query.
