Hey, anyone else so impatient when waiting for blood results? I have them done privately each time in Ireland, at a clinic, they should take a day or two, on day three I get unbelievably impatient I wonder why we cannot get the same service as in other countries. In Poland, you can go for private bloods without a referral any day of the week apart from Sunday and Monday and you get results the same day for what's called an alternative thyroid profile (ft3, ft4, antibodies tg tpo, TT4, TT3, and tsh). It's almost worth flying over to Poland for two days for the cost of it too! Rant over
Definitely been overdosed with t4, three days later still struggling, but it's a bit better. Skipped the whole dose yesterday, made a huge difference, today took 100 mcg and got anxiety again, vibrating legs, muscles twitching, hot/cold. I must be so sensitive to meds, I feel difference in dosing immediately.
Yes I’m very impatient. If one more Medical professional says to me, these things take time 😩 It’s always a classic fob off 😬 saw an Endocrinologist in Feb, no more treatment becausey blood test are ‘in range’. Secretary even phoned me to reassure me that my bloods are normal and I should wait till May fir a follow up. Now same said Endo wans to refer me to a geneticist - 4mth waiting list 😩 I’ve taken matters into my own hands. If I waited and was ‘patient’ I’d be in the loony bin by now 😬
My GP was very ‘cross’ last year when I stopped T4 for 10days because I had Hyper symptoms. I don’t know what the cause was, I’d been on that dose for over 7mths. Seems quite logical to me to stop taking something that you feel like you’re overdosing on. I restarted on a dose of high/low alternate days. Didn’t work so lowered again slowly over 6mths gradually becoming Hyp again 😩
Having GP’s become ‘cross’ is like a red rag to a bull to me. Erm hello I’m 45, you can engage with me, adult to adult, we can have a discussion but actually in order for me to take advice from you you’d actually have to know what your talking about.
