Natural T3

Please can anyone tell me if I can purchase a natural T3 from health food shops e.g. Holland and Barrett as I am in the U.K. for a few days .

T3 is a prescription-only drug in the UK. It is in any case synthetic and there is no 'natural' mono-T3 equivelant.

Depending on what you mean by "a few days", you might be able to see a private endo, get a private prescription, and get it filled by one of the pharmacies on the Thyroid UK list, all within 4 days. If you see a private endo and get a private prescription written there and then, one day for the postal service to get it to a pharmacy, then 48 hours to get it filled and posted back to you, it's do-able. That's the turnaround time I have had so far for NDT. I would expect the same for synth T3.

You have NDT prescribed? I didn't think it was prescribed in UK.

No, T3 is prescription only in the UK (and very hard to get a prescription for). All T3 is made in the lab and is synthetic - there is no such thing as "natural" T3. It is not a food supplement.
