Hi

Has anyone tried this product please and if so, please tell me how did you go on?

I can see the minerals in it are what we take mainly selenium copper zinc and it's also the herb it's based on

At the moment I'm open to all

My first Levo attempts resulted in a few weeks of cough & catarrh

At the moment n another brand, I'm rashly and so itchy and now wondering if it's this make of levo causing it

I don't see how I can continue if so

J x

Jeppy,

Take an antihistamine an hour before your Levothyroxine. If the rash and itching eases then it is likely you are allergic to one of the ingredients in that brand and you should try an alternative. There are 4 brands available in the UK:

Mercury Pharma 25mcg, 50mcg, 100mcg.

Actavis (also known as Almus or NorthStarr) 50 & 100mcg

Wockhardt 25mcg

Teva 12.5mcg, 25mcg, 50mcg, 75mcg & 100mcg.

I'm not familiar with the Nutri converter.

As my t4 is up to the top third, I don't understand why my t3 is right down in bottom third ?

I'm not converting, does it really matter tsh isn't under two?

As my vitamins and gut and antibodies are good now

Jeppy,

Try the antihistamine first in case it's nothing to do with Teva.

If your TSH is >2 you are undermedicated and that is why your FT3 is low. It's nothing to do with poor conversion. You can't establish poor conversion before you are optimally dosed. If TSH is 0.3 - 1.00 and FT4 high in range and FT3 is low then you are a poor converter.

I just couldn't understand that matters as my t4 is high and vitamins all good.

Get tested for copper before taking anything that contains it. Hypos usually have high copper and low zinc, so you don't want to add more copper on top. :)
