Natural desiccated hormone t3

I live in USA. I have hasimotos. My blood work is in range with armour. But lately I m gaining weight and my mouth to exit feels sore and out of whack! My doctor added 25 mg of levothyroxine to my 90 armour. I asked for added t3 but got t4 instead! Can I buy t3 without a prescription from somewhere else?

I found only naturopathic or hollistic doctors will prescribe t3. I’ve been on the search myself.

You "asked for T3 but got T4". Did your doctor prescribe T3 and your pharmacist gave you T4 or did your doc prescribe T4? If it's the latter you cannot get another doc because so few prescribe NDT so you are on your own. How about increasing your NDT a little bit. Get a blood test, a total thyroid panel (from True Health Labs online and out of Georgia (USA, not Russia!) post your results for our opinions so that you are not doing this absolutely alone then, I think you could probably increase your NDT a little. That will give you a little more T3 which is perhaps all you need. You may also want to look into increasing your ability to convert T4 to T3. For that you will have to optimize your vitamins and minerals esp. your ferritin, selenium and B12, D3, folate and a couple of others frequently listed on this site. You will also have to be kind to your liver - where most of the conversion takes place, for me I had to minimize my wine intake!

Anyway, try all that, I am sure a small increase in NDT will do the trick, but get your initial blood test numbers first and post them. Actually whenever you change anything always measure your baseline so that you can assess the results of that change.
