Mafia What do you class as natural T3? There's only synthetic T3 (liothyronine) as a separate T3 medication.
Mafia,
The only natural T3 is that in natural dessicated thyroid which contains T4 and T3. Liothyronine (T3) is a synthetic hormone as is Levothyroxine. You can add either NDT or T3 to Levothyroxine.
If you post your recent thyroid results and ranges members will advise whether you are optimally medicated on 150mcg.
You probably can't lose weight because you're on a diet. Low calorie intake has a negative effect on conversion. Stop dieting, eat more, and see what happens.
Really???? Ive stopped eating carbs to help me loose weight.
Should i re enstatite them???
Read the next post, it's all about carbs.
Gaining weight is one of the main problems with thyroid issues. I gained 5 stone whilst on levo only (no thyroid gland). Now fully converted to NDT and taking 3x Thiroyd per day since Christmas. Now lost 2½ stone and hope to get back to normal by next Christmas.
It is possible that a drastic reduction in the amount of milk I now drink (I used to drink a LOT!!!) may have also played a part in this.
